I decided to enter theStudio’s next designer contest this month and have finished up my round 1 submission. The theme was Daybreak and they gave us a pretty pastel palette to use with it. When I think of daybreak I think of waking up in the morning, looking out over the lake and seeing the swans swimming against the beautiful morning sky, the inspiration for this kit.

The inspiration for this kit comes from my daughter's recital where she was a fish and danced to the song Under the Sea with the hermit crab, mermaids, and all colors of fish. I saw Scraps by Andrea’s kit and the colors were perfect so I asked her if I could make a kit to add to it as it needed mermaids and a hermit crab and this is the kit that I came up with.

And here is my daughter(the little fish) along with her Big fish, who helped her during the recital. They had such a great time!!!

STS July Build A Kits

I had way too much fun with this color palette and theme this month and did 3 element pack, 3 paper packs and a qp pack for you to grab. Just click on the previews to find in the store. I had a little help this month with some of my elements in the farming pack. The real looking tractors, trailor and combine were done by one of my CTM’s Alison of Millie Dee Designs, be sure to check out her blog and store for her wonderful doodles and kits. Then one of my other CTM’s Nikki of Scrappin Ninnie made the more cartoonish tractors and trailor. Together they make such a fun looking kit. I hope you have as much fun playing with them as I did!!! Thanks girls for your extra work!!!
